What is true freedom?
When you set yourself free from what others around you opine of you, of their judgements of your choices, your behaviors and your decisions. When you do not allow the experiences to bound your individual growth. When you let go of the emotional baggage from the past and release the pent up emotional stress. When you cut the chord of your hurtful past and the anxiously pulling string of your future. When you free yourself from your own constant judgement, criticism and guilt.
That truly is real freedom. And when you experience this freedom, you feel light on your feet, as if you could fly away and touch the sky. You feel calm in your heart, as if you could embrace the whole wide world with the warmest of hugs. You feel serene in your mind, as if there was nothing to chase, no feeling to evaluate. These are the feelings of spiritual growth, of acceptance of self and others, of mindfulness and of love and compassion.
So, where will you begin your journey to true freedom?
